Guard The Vintage is an online store that was started by Yusrah Sulaiman after falling in love with finding interesting vintage pieces on her shopping missions. Its aesthetic can be described as a mixture of ‘urban vintage and new high street’ fashion.
The site is a mix of tasteful pieces ranging from quirky crop-tops to elegant cut-outs, which can lead to the temptation of buying everything on offer. With a user friendly layout and categorisations of the merchandise, it makes for a pleasant shopping experience. “One of the reasons I soon became addicted to buying vintage and thrifted pieces was the thrill I get when I get my hands on something good. The feeling of re-using, re-cycling and re-loving an item,” says Sulaiman.
The prices range from R120 for a t-shirt or a sweater to R1200 for a trench coat. The store also offers both national and international delivery and you can expect to have your purchases within three to five working days at a maximum of R100 for local deliveries to R250 for international deliveries.
