There are those weekends where its nice to put on some heels and spend a little bit more money on Moet Nectar than you had budgeted for.

Home of the infamous hangover antidote, The Babalas Burger, Odd cafe is a fun little eatery with a crazy menu.

Great Dane:

This local watering hole plays host to a variety of fun people and when the sun goes down, provides some killer tunes to shake to.

Maboneng Precinct:

Rent a bicycle and pedal around this little village inside the Johannesburg CBD. It has an array of boutique stores, a hotel, restaurants and a market that’s fun for the whole family.

70 Juta:

This particular block is not only home to the Nike office but also a community of entrepreneurs  and creatives that work at the gallery, clothing shops and cafes that surround it.

Love Food Cafe:

This little eatery is open six days a week from 09:00 until the food runs out (usually by 14:00). The menu of wholesome comfort foods changes every day.

The Living Room:

The Living Room, a rooftop garden turned bar, towers over the Maboneng Precinct and is a hidden gem. Perfect for sunday sundowners.

Father Coffee:

Another Braamfontein special. This simple, pleasant coffee shop truly is the ‘Father’ of them all  in Johannesburg.

Jolly Cool:

This is not the fanciest or coolest looking place, however, the beers are always cold and the sport is always on. By far the best sports bar in Johannesburg.
